DDPProbe Pro
Back to Products
DDPProbe Pro has been developed to assist those involved in CD pre-mastering and mastering in dealing with DDP format filesets. DDP Filesets are the standard by which a master is delivered to the replicator (and is increasingly being used by CD duplicators also). In the past, Exabyte tapes have been the carrier but due to its demise various other carriers are being investigated. DDPProbe Pro is not carrier specific - all it needs to see are the required files - it will be supporting other carrier formats as they are adopted.
The DDP Fileset is read from the incoming media - at present this can be Exabyte/DLT tape, CD-Rom, DVD-R/DVD-Ram or stored in file format locally or remote across a network or intranet. The various descriptor files are decoded and the data is displayed as if coming from a CD made from that DDP
Fileset including a full TOC with ISRC codes etc. Tracks, track changes or the whole
'CD' can be played direct from the media saving valuable transfer time. A complete breakdown of the description of the CD is optionally available.
The fileset can be securely copied to tape, local or network file or written to optical disc - both CD-Rom and DVD-R/DVD-Ram are supported and verification of the copy can be made if required.
Full DDP data can be printed or saved as a text file either as required or automatically.
